Common Questions & Considerations
How long does the counseling process typically take?
The duration of therapy is unique to every individual. While some clients find relief and clarity within a few months, others choose to continue for a year or more to navigate deeper layers of healing. We will regularly review your progress to ensure we are meeting your goals.
Is Christian counseling mandatory during our sessions?
Not at all. While I am equipped to integrate Christian faith into our work, this is entirely up to your comfort and request. My primary goal is to provide a safe, respectful environment that honors your values, whatever they may be.
Do you offer in person or virtual counseling?
Mending Pieces Counseling is currently a telehealth (virtual) practice, allowing you to attend sessions securely from the comfort and privacy of your own home anywhere in North Carolina. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone.
What are your fees?
I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to answer your questions and determine if we are a good fit. The initial assessment (90 minutes) is $200 and the individual therapy sessions (50 minutes) are $110. I am currently accepting self-pay client while completing the insurance credentialing process.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. This allows me to offer that time to someone else who may be waiting for an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a fee.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently in the process of becoming credentialed with insurance providers. At this time, I offer self-pay sessions. If you're interested in using insurance in the future, please feel free to reach out for the latest updates.
